HIPPOCAMPUS ZOSTERAE
As you can see the picture is a little out of focus, I will do better.... These little
animals live and multiply in waters from inches to feet in depth. They are indigenous to the Gulf of Mexico and south into the Caribbean. One hour their home is 2 feet deep and in six hours it may be out of the water, yet I have collected on that flat as the tide rose and they seem to survive, either by moving to deeper water or just in the wet mud and grass. Also I have noticed in the winter when we have a cold snap (60) degrees, in a few days I find many more pregnant males than usual ??
